Our Staff
 The excitement is everywhere, we are proud to announce that Russ Ponder has been voted on and accepted the call to become our next pastor. He with his wife, Kim, and two sons, Branson and Pearce, are coming from Hamlin, Texas down by Abilene. If his name seems familiar that is because Russ was our youth pastor before he went to FBC Hamlin to be their youth pastor. Come and hear him and see the excitement for yourself!Mike Woods was born and raised in Farwell, TX and has been a lifetime member at First Baptist Church Farwell. After spending time working with the youth, he realized his calling and God brought him into the position as full time Youth Pastor. Mike also works as facilities manager at ENMR and Leigh Ann works in accounting at Kirkland and Kirkland and Company. They have two Daughters, Chelsi and McKinzi, and two grandchildren, Kirkland and Jack.

Church Secretary: David Pollard, wife Pam, and daughter Tori David and his wife, Pam, grew up in the Dallas area (Cedar Hill and Duncanville) where they were married in 1987. Daughter Tori came along in 1993 to complete the human part of the family. David's dog Quahnah, Pam's dog Cloe along with little Fidget, and Tori's dog Moses make up the rest of the household. David has 15 years experience in management and spent six years or so in Christian radio and a short stint at Cal Farley's Girlstown USA as a houseparent. Pam is a registered nurse and has experience in hospitals, nursing homes, and home health. She works for Lockney Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lockney, TX. Tori is a student of Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, TX. God called them to West Texas in 2001 and to FBC Farwell in February 2005. David is very active in the youth group and the sound and video booth. David was also ordained and licensed by the church on August 22, 2010. You can contact David at david@fbcfarwell.org. FBC Farwell has a full-time staff of Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Church Secretary. The Church Office is open from 8:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. each day except Friday, when we close at noon.
